How To Use Alpha Green Nutrient Fertilizers

Alpha Green Nutrient Fertilizers support an herbicide and pesticide-free environment.

For use in agriculture, horticulture, greenhouse, gardens, and turf. 

Alpha Green Nutrient Pure™, Nutrient Vigor™, or Nutrient Vigor Plus™ pellets easily decompose without the risk of fertilizer burn.

Lawns & Turf: Apply early spring or late fall. Spread by hand or broadcast spreader at a rate of 1 kg per 8 m² (2.5 lbs/100 ft²) or for larger areas use 22 kg/185 m² (48 lbs/2000 ft²). 2nd application mid-summer at half above rate. On high traffic areas or areas with salt or pet damage, use 2-4 times recommended application rate.

Shrubs, perennials, and annuals:  Use approximately 200 g (1 cup) of pellets every 30 cm (12”) of drip line (where rainfall would drip off the canopy of the plant) and work into the soil. Re-apply every 6-8 weeks throughout the growing season.

Potted Plants:  At the beginning of each season, mix approximately 100 g (1/2 cup) of alfalfa pellets per 4.5 L (1 gal) of potting soil. 

Alfalfa Tea (Nutrient Pure™ pellets or meal):  Add 400 – 800 g (2 – 4 cups) per 20 L (5 gals) of water and let sit 24 hours. The alfalfa tea can be used as a foliar spray or as a liquid fertilizer. Tea can be used as-is or strained to remove/reuse fibers. Use prepared tea within 24 hours. Apply once a month throughout the growing season. Can be re-brewed by adding fresh water up to 3 times.

Alpha Green Nutrient Pure™, Nutrient Vigor™, or Nutrient Vigor Plus™ for Land & Soil Reclamation & Remediation

For reclamation and remediation purposes the current rate is 1 – 4 mt per acre 

1-2 mt – Reconditioning and fertilizing
3 mt – Saline soils
4 mt – Nutrient deficient, clay, or sandy soils
5 to 10mt – Contaminated soils

On a cubic basis, these rates work out as follows:

80 to 160kg per 100m³ for Reconditioning and fertilizing
240kg per 100m³ for Saline soils
320kg per 100m³ for Nutrient deficient, clay, or sandy soils
405kg to 810kg per 100m³ for contaminated soils

Alpha Green Nutrient Pure™, Nutrient Vigor™, or Nutrient Vigor Plus™ are conveniently spread on large sites using a tow-behind spreader. These versatile fertilizers can be applied in the spring, summer, or fall. Pellets can also be incorporated or tilled into the top 3 to 12” of soil or left as a top dressing.
